Career

Im Soo-jung made her debut in 1998 as a cover model for teen magazines. She soon moved onto dramas and films, but it was Kim Ji-woon's 2003 stylish horror A Tale of Two Sisters that first drew her critical notice and newcomer awards. A year later, the hit KBS2 drama I'm Sorry, I Love You catapulted her into stardom. With Im looking much younger than her age, those projects (and ...ing) solidified Im's image as an eternal ingenue, as did horse jockey film Lump Sugar and Park Chan-wook's surrealist I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK.[1] In recent years she has began shedding that image by taking on more adult roles,[2][3] notable among them Hur Jin-ho's romantic melodrama Happiness,[4] Choi Dong-hun's blockbuster fantasy Jeon Woo Chi,[5][6] the adapted-from-a-musical rom-com Finding Mr. Destiny[7] and Lee Yoon-ki's minimalist breakup indie Come Rain, Come Shine.[8][9] She has been cast in All About My Wife, as the wife of a timid man whom he's afraid to divorce.[10]
